EDUCATION...
Doing our Part so No Child is Left Behind
|
A.J. Boggs brings a wealth of technical expertise to the field of education systems for universities and state governments. Working with education administrators to move from paper-based procedures to more efficient and affordable information technology applications, A.J. Boggs has helped universities and state agencies meet the following challenges:
|
|
The Core Student Record System (CSRS) provides State Departments of Education with web-based data collection and reporting. It is used to collect student record data from local school districts and was developed for the State of Washington with the following goals:
CSRS is owned by the State of Washington and A.J. Boggs is interested in helping other states in its implemention. Our commitment to education is also reflected in the project experience descriptions below that describe our service to the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).
Michigan Electronic Grant System (MEGS)
The goal of MEGS is to move grant management to the web to reduce redundant data submissions, improve grant application processes and increase customer satisfaction. A.J. Boggs used the Rational Unified Process and continues to manage the MEGS project to implement an innovative system (from Agate Software) that administers approximately $1 billion in grants annually.
Child Nutrition Application Program (CNAP)
CNAP moved paper-based application processes to the web. A.J. Boggs provided requirements analysis, project management and quality assurance services for the CNAP National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). A.J. Boggs' Project Manager developed plans using the Rational Unified Process (RUP), including the acquisition strategy and project management of the system implementation.
